Comenia Script - New latin Script

Primary aim was to design a new handwritten script to be used for teaching of writing. It was to be a simle and practical script for children, moder and contemporary. It is to serve as an elementary pattern, individualised be to user. Each user has a choice of several shapes of letters, of the degree of slanting etc., as long as those alternations do not stand in the way of legibility.
The default forms of upper case have balanced proportions, and not only in printed script – when reproduced by hand, it surprices by an unexpected, flawless beauty. With lower case, it works in perfect harmony. Lower case is not a copy of a renaissance lower case, nevertheless, the anatomy of renaissance Cancellaresca was its strongest inspiration. Most characteristic for it are the ascenders and descenders lacking loops and the disconected character of letters. The basic anatomy of lower case is as open as possible: it is easily legible and at the same time, the character width is ready to be adapted by each individual writer.
For special occasions, is also prepared a sans-serif version of Comenia Script. The anatomy is similar to the default cut, however, it lacks all serifs (both in lower and upper case), all connecting strokes, and thus the option of ligatures. It resembles a purely printed alphabet, nevertheless, it is designated to be used in common handwritten communication. It may be used, for example, for teaching children suffering from dysgraphy. The sans-serif alphabet may also come in handy in other school subjects, such as for the headlines in exercise books for literature, history, chemistry, geography, etc., for captions, for writing on blackboard, or as a special technical script used in math.
