Rooftilesby František Štorm
Rooftile font idea arose while staring at the ceiling during siesta time in Goa. All houses here have these fine Mangalore tiles. Each piece is marked on the back by a lovely typeface, which was apparently cut as negative in the mold. All irregularities are deliberate as imperfection is a typical indian feature. The present 5 font family is ideally suited for marking rooftiles and other brickware products. Its spicy expression makes it usable for packaging design of any colonial goods as well.
